Automatically rename board and copy link to original board when using Create Board from Template automation

Hi, I have a specific use case I was not able to resolve. Here’s what I’m trying to do:

I have a board of Project Requests. Each item on this board is a project request. Once the project is approved (status change), a few things happen:

  1. an item is created in an Overview Board, and the request item is connected to the overview item via connected board.
  2. a project board is created from template.

I was not able to resolve the following:

  1. change the name of the Project Board (new board) to the name of the item that was approved in the original request
  2. copy the Project Board (new board) link to the original item

What can I use to create these two requirements? It can be via plugin or marketplace app. If all else fails - is it possible through make.com automation?

Which product (CRM/Work Management, etc) and level (Pro/Enterprise) do you have?

We’re on the Work Management product. we’re on Nonprofit - Pro Plan

Got it. It will likely be available with make.com but I don’t know specifics on that.

@YaelC, have you tried using the ‘Create a board from template’ action in automations? This action allows you to customize the name of the board that is created from the template based on columns in a board.
