Automation emails/notifcations to include name of item, group or board

I have set automations to notify a person when a task is due, but the corresponding email or notification does not give the name of the item, group or board it refers to.

Have I missed a step or is this something that be added in an update?

Hey Piers, within the automation you can enter fields from the item. You may be using a pre-made update automation which is why you don’t have this feature.

You can create a custom notification and set it up this way or search from the list of existing notifications under the Notifications tab of the Automation Centre.

You can also adjust these to be before/after the due date with the custom automation ‘When date arrives’ then you can click on the ‘When’ to change it to the days prior you’d like!

It would be super helpful if the Notification for a task update or assignment included the Group Name as well as the Board name.

Currently notifications will only take you to/highlight the task/subtask IF you already happened to have that Group/tasks expanded … if the group is not expanded having the name of the task with no connection to the group it is for is basically useless if you use the same set of tasks/subtask name(s) in EVERY group.
