I have a Main Board that collects data from several boards, i want to make an automation for few of the mirror fields and i can’t find this option (for example- when
status#1 changes to done the change status#2 in all of the boards (which is mirrored field).

Yes I know about it, but I can’t use it for mirror fields from some reason
Hello,
What Desiree shows works perfectly if you want to copy a status from a mirror column to a regular status column in your board. It works in most cases, just need to put your mirror column in the right board and make one automation per status. It can be quite long depending on the quantity of statuses you have.
If you want to copy a regular status board to a mirror column, then you’ll have to go through a third party app, like General Caster or Column magic. There is no way to do that natively in monday.com
Have a nice day

Hey @inbalko
Have you tried the Connected Boards Automations app? I think this is exactly what you’re looking for!
Here are some automations that you can use with mirror columns.
Another important thing to point out, you can get rid of mirror columns altogether and still keep your data synced between all boards. If you want all other boards to update whenever you make a change on one of your boards, you can use any of the following automations →

Yes, this works, but the following info should be added:
- It’s only available from the template. you can’t create the automation form scratch
- Only the mirrored status can be the trigger. If you want a two way sync then you need a mirrored column and automation on both boards.
- If you have more than one board connected to the column you are mirroring, you can’t set up the automation. When you try to select the mirror column that will be the trigger, it says: Automations do not support mirror columns that are connected to multiple boards.
However, if you initially only have one board connected and the mentioned automation set up, and then add another board, it’s still working. My experience though is that it only works with the initial board, so any boards you add on later will not trigger the automation.
Has anyone had any experience with this and would like to elaborate? Will the initial automation still work in the long run if I add more boards to the connected column?
