Perhaps there is a workaround for this somewhere. However, I find it tedious that an automation on a board that uses ‘when item is created do this’ does not work on items that have been moved to the board.
If an automation has moved an item from one board to another, that item is technically a new item within that board, so why does the automation not apply?
My example is this:
I have an automation that states ‘when a new item is created set number to 1095’ this should be applicable for all items in this board. It works when I create an item in this board, but not when an item is moved from another board. This means I have had to create the number column on every board and move it with the item.
