I have a board setup for our IT Ticketing but I was wondering if there was a way to restrict the board further? For example, I want users to have access to the form, but I don’t want them to be able to see items that they didn’t create or they aren’t tagged in. Is this something that is possible?

Hello @tyler.ford You can use Item Permissions to let users submit via the form but only see items they created or are assigned to.

Hey @tyler.ford
One option is SuperForm, a native monday.com Marketplace app.
It allows you to use forms not only to create items, but also to update(or existing ones(or just to view).
This short guide walks through how it works:

Hello @noam.lapidot Yes this is possible. If you want users to submit or update tickets without full board access, a form based approach works best.
SuperForm from the monday.com Marketplace lets users create or update items while keeping the board restricted. You can also use native monday.com Forms with a private board and manage everything internally using permissions and automations.

True item-level restriction isn’t native yet, but private boards + Current User filtered views is the usual workaround. Users can submit forms but only see items relevant to them.

You can’t restrict visibility per item at the core platform level yet, but you can simulate it with private boards + automations + view filters so users only see their own items. Saved Views with Current User filters help a lot.
It looks as though I would need to populate a “people(s)” column in order for a person tagged in an update to be able to see the item. Is there a way to automate this? Basically if someone is tagged in an update that they are then added to a people column on the item so they can then view the item?
