I would like a column (or modify the FILES type column) that allows you to place a link to open a FOLDER on the local drive. Also the ability to place a link to an APPLICATION in a column so that an app or AppleScript can be launched within Monday.com. I know this would only really work for local use only, but a lot of what I do is local drive based that other remote team members just view but don’t interact with much.

Can you please let us know if your initial request aligns with the existing feature request here → Link-Column with a Local Link (not Web-Link)? I ask as we can then merge the 2 requests to consolidate votes and put greater emphasis on this need.
If this is the case, are you happy to post a seperate feature request for specific to linking to an application?
