The Problem: When multiple boards are connected in a column, and you want to find an item on one of those boards in order to establish a connection, you have to manually click each of the boards in the Board dropdown in the Connect Board popup and then search in that selected board. If you don’t find it in the first board, you have to select then next board, and search there… and on and on… imagine how hard that is with many connected boards… This problem makes the new Connect Boards column feature in Workforms almost useless in that scenario, since it can take a very long time to find the desired selection when multiple boards are connected to the column.
The Solution: Allow automated searching through all connected boards for all items that match the text entered into the search field. When searching, show a list of the first x characters of the item, as well as the name of the board in which it exists. This will allow efficient use of the connect column (and the Connect Column field in Workforms) when the column is connected to multiple boards .
