Copy data of a Field from one item to another item (each same column)

Hallo Community,

is there any way to automate (which trigger ever) to copy one Value of one item to another/all (already existing) item. Stay within same column.

Usecase:
When a Project will be created via a Template I want to have the Project Number copied into every item to secure master link on every item (project plan, Financials, risks - all in each of the Project Boards). Project number is needed for every item to connect to summary boards or also if data are downloaded.
Project Number is copied into Project with the full Item out of Project Request Board. So its available in the new setup Project.

Currently i have to go into every new setup Project select all Items and fill Project number manually.
To secure if new created items within Project Board (e.g. Financials) I already use “Default Item Value” but this also needs to be selected for every New Setup Project Board.

After reading your case , I think this is more feasible for you!.
Create a Status Column for Triggering the Automation: Add a status column named “Copy Project Number” to your board. This will be used to trigger the automation. and save this in your template.
When ever you create new project just use this trigger it will populate the column value accordingly.
