I have the following problem: I need to automatically copy the e-mail address from the creator log into a text column in order to be able to use an Outlook integration template.
How can I do this?
Wouldn’t you be able to assign the creator to a people column and then use that people column to send it? Or are you trying to get the actual email address into the email?

Unfortunately, a person column is also not accepted as an e-mail column
Only e-mail and text columns are accepted as e-mail columns, one of which I would have to fill automatically with the e-mail address of the creator
Would using an email column work, rather than a text column? (your initial question said text)
I ask because there is a third party app option that could achieve this. (Which I am with the developer of.) Right now Creation Log to Email isn’t supported but it would be trivial to add if a third-party app option is something you’d be open to.

I would like to use an Outlook automation that asks for an email column, unfortunately I can only use email columns and text columns, one of which should be automatically filled with the email address of the creator.
A person column cannot be selected here. This simple function would already help.
Are you willing to use a third-party app to fill the email with the creators email automatically when an item is created? (Assuming the creator has a monday.com account, and it is not by an anonymous form)
I can add support for this to an app in the marketplace called Column Magic, but want to know that if I do this, are you willing to use an app from the marketplace to do this?
To use an application, I have to ask our company, there is no way to use the function without the third-party application?
No because the function is not part of monday.com’s native capabilities, so it its a custom automation through the third-party app to do something monday can’t do natively. It would be a recipe you can use like any other automation in monday.com once the app is added to your monday.com account.
But without adding it to monday.com, there is no way to interact with monday.com.
