Automatically creating items from sent/received Gmail emails

I have two related questions:

  1. When using the “Create items using email” tag, how can I get the auto-created item to populate key fields like name, email address, etc? Currently it only creates the item but pulls in no relevant fields.
  2. We’re using an Gmail automation (“When email is received [based on a condition], create an item”), but it doesn’t work. How can we get received emails that contain a specific subject line, for example, to automatically create an item on our board?

You could probably use Make to extract information from emails and use it to fill in the other board columns accurately (i.e name, email address, etc etc)

try use text column and use AI for specific column.
For email address

  1. non-standard operation
  2. recipe (use field) Update address e-mail

So if in update in item created from mail is address e-mail that should fill in cell.
