There’s a lot of multi connected board posts here, but each is so use case specific that I couldn’t find one that matched mine.
I have three boards (e.g., Board A, B, and C). I’m seeking to automatically create an item in Board C from Board A or Board B, but the Board C item has to be linked to each board.
The goal is for item 1 in Board C to be linked to an item in Board A and linked to an item in Board C, as well as mirror a few columns from each of those respective boards.
I don’t see how to do this and auto link the items. E.g., I can trigger the creation of an item in Board C from Board A and link it, but I’m unable to link that item in Board B, or I can trigger the creation of an item in Board C from Board B, have it linked, and mirror a linked column from Board B, but it’s not truly linked to an item in Board A.
Hi @TempletonFerrari , this is likely possible with zzBots. Can I get more information on how the sync should work? Is this a 2-Way sync between A and C, along with another 2-Way Sync between B and C?
Frankly, I don’t know the value difference of a 1 or 2 way sync, and couldn’t find it in Monday’s knowledge base. Think of Board A as the roll up project, where Board B is a type of task that needs done for the item in Board A, and Board C is a type of task that needs done for the same item in Board A; however, it needs info from Board A and B.
Nothing is being pushed back to Board A or B; I just need to display info from them on Board C, and I need it done without user interaction.
The Board C item can be created by a trigger in Board A or B; however, while linking the new item to both boards is easy, it doesn’t seem possible to auto populate how the item is linked to each board (i.e., connected column to Board B and the connected column to Board A).
