I have a hunch this was discussed before, but I can’t find a solution
I have two tables, A and B, with a one-to-many connection (one A item can have many B items).
I want an automation that when I set a B item status to “X”, a sub-item is created in table A under the linked item. The sub-item will have its own columns and values (taken from what it has in table B).
In human-speak, let’s say Table A is employees, and Table B is Assignments. I want to be able to see a “history” of all past assignments under each employee. I want to see it in the employee table.
Thanks, but the “Assignments” and “Employees” have (almost entirely) different data, and also different goals/uses. It doesn’t make sense for me to keep all of the info in one giant board and show/hide stuff. Isn’t the whole point of connected boards to allow me that?
Well I definitely misunderstood your first message, but now that re-read it, I think I might be missing something basic here. This Connected Boards option seems very likely to be a good solution, but I don’t see it. Is it an Enterprise tier thing? (we’re on Pro).
