I have a board (“Board A”) that represents all of the planned/published emails and social media posts for my org. That board has two groups: email and social.
Each item on the board contains the name of the email/post. There are several other fields, in the form of labels, on each item. One of those fields is “sponsor.” Here, a member of my team can select a corresponding sponsor (if one exists) for that specific post.
What I’d like to do is as follows:
When an item is created on Board A, I’d like the same item to appear on another board (“Board B”).
I would like Board B to be arranged by different groups (Sponsors) instead of email/social. This means that an email from Board A tagged with Sponsor 1 will show up in the Sponsor 1 group on Board B.
I would like the items on both boards to be linked/dynamic. For example, if an item is deleted on Board A, I would like for it to be deleted on Board B as well. If any of the fields are changed on Board B, I would like the changes to be represented on the mirrored item on Board A.
Sorry for the complexity. I hope this makes sense. Want to know if this is even possible and if so, what steps I might need to take to make it happen.
Depending on your needs, you maybe able to do this with one Board…
Board A contains the Items, then have different views - one for “planned/published emails” which has a filter to show these and another for “social media”, this with the filter for Social items.
You can have items that are tagged with both and they will appear in both views… no need to “sync” anything.
Each view can have different “Sort” and/or “Group by” options saved to allow you the sponsor view.
The other option is to use an app (or Make.com) … we have some complex boards that we do sync, but is a bit of a pain.
