Currency Formatting Problem

Hi everyone, I need some help for the currency formatting.

We are from Brazil, so we use the currency in BRL with is R$ instead of $.

Usually in USD format you would use “.” as a decimal separator and “,” as a thousand mark… for exemple.
$ 1,500.50

But in Brazil its the opposite, witch would be:
R$ 1.500,00

So, as we are so used to do this in every other place, when we type the value on the numbers column, we get very wrong numbers.

Is there a place where we can change the currency formatting.
There is no such option on the menu:
Captura de Tela 2020-07-02 às 19.29.21

The weird thing is… after we type it the US way… it shows the BR way…
When Typing: Captura de Tela 2020-07-02 às 19.36.19
After Typing: Captura de Tela 2020-07-02 às 19.36.26

This is very confusing…

@Julia-monday.com can you help?

Why there’s no follow up to posts regarding number separators ???

I’ve found 4 posts with no updates which are several months old

Does anyone found a workaround?
Anyone?
: (

is there an option within monday to change the format of numbers, changing between period and comas. is a Chrome configuration? a windows configuration??

Hi Everyone!

The way monday.com show the currency in the numbers column is dependent on the user browser settings.

To change this in Chrome for Windows :

  1. Visit chrome://settings/
  2. Click “Advanced” on the bottom of the screen
  3. Expand “Languages”
  4. There you can add and re-order languages based on your preference.

To change this in Chrome for Mac / linux:

Chrome will automatically display in the default system language for your computer.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Dani
