This has been really frustrating for us as well. We really want to use the DAM in Monday since we can link the image files to projects, but the lack of a thumbnail when using cloud services like sharepoint, box, onedrive, google drive etc makes this integration useless. This is especially frustration when trying to view different versions of images. I see this as a bug, not a feature request.
