Hello, this is a feature request about how dependencies work. It seems that if I am wanting to make a subitem dependent on something, my only options are that it can be dependent on other subitems; the same applies to items, they can only be dependent on another item. I really need the option to make items and subitems dependent on any items or some items that are in the project plan.

As a minimum sub items need to be to be dependant on their parent items otherwise Monday doesn’t work effectively or efficiently as a schedule tool.
I was surprised to find that this functionality wasnt already built in.

Same. I was able to work around this if I structure the board to always have an item and at least one subitem - just to able to link dependencies correctly. But it adds a layer of complexity that not all projects can manage, especially if your connecting dependencies to other boards/projects.
I hope this is already in their Feature requests roadmap.
