Drag & Drop Files & Pictures

Adding the ability to drag and drop files and photos into Info Box > Add Files.

This reduces the need for our team to download files and photos onto their device. Our Ideal use case would be to drag and drop assets straight from an email into Monday.

Agreed.

That is one reason why we don’t use the Info Boxes. We use Updates for File Uploading instead.

Plus, unlike Updates, there’s no indication on a pulse/item that anything has been uploaded to the Info Box.

See earlier Feature Request

Until these issues are fixed, we’re not using Info Boxes. It’s a potentially great feature but needs polish to be useful in our environment.

Thanks for this tip. It doesn’t solve the larger issue, but it is a great band aid until this feature is added. Thank you!

Yeah, unfortunately this trick doesn’t work to drag a photo or email straight from an email to the updates. We get a lot of photos from customers and having to download each out them and THEN have to upload them to the updates field is cumbersome.

@kyrinfield Agreed. Add your vote to this existing feature request. I’m hoping it eventually gets actioned by the Monday devs.

@JohnW - Another workaround is to use Integromat. I have an automation set up that if something is added to a note, I get a status update. That way, I DO see that something new has been added to a pulse/item.

@ReadingTub I’d like to learn more. Can you provide a small step-by-step example of how you’ve got this set up so that you can see updates in Info Boxes on any pulse/item?

@ReadingTub I concur. Please provide more context!

@JohnW @kyrinfield -

This is for a specific project, and I use Integromat to help me. For part 1, I have Integromat add a note when a new row is added to a Google form. For part 2, Integromat monitors the Monday board/pulse for new notes and then creates an update. I’m pretty confident that you can do part 2 without part 1.

I set it up a while ago, and TBH I can’t remember which template I used. But here goes …

Find templates here [these are already filtered for Monday .com] :

[Sign in | Integromat]

The scenario is pretty simple: If new info in Notes Tab [then] create Update for pulse.
