Dual High Level Boards

I’m looking for a way to have two dedicated high level boards or Board Views show different parts of the linked low level projects. One showing the status of the whole project (product Development), the other only showing a smaller set of tasks (Marketing). I want to have all tasks in the same board because the marketing tasks are so interconnected with the timeline of creating packaging materials, ordering product, receiving samples, and the other needs of development.

Right now, everything on the low level board is connected upward by defining the connection in item default values.

It would be great if the marketing department could easily see the status of their responsibilities on all projects in a single board view instead of a dashboard. How can I automatically connect items depending on the group or status column.

Maybe I’m thinking about this all wrong, So I’m also curious about how others manage these dependencies between departments on large projects.

Hey Bobby, you can have the items of the marketing department live on 2 boards stimutanesly, if that helps. Try using the app “Same Item Multiple Boards” in the marketplace
