Email and Monday

One of the things that I really like about my current Task management software is that there is an integration with Gmail and Outlook so that you can easily convert any email into a task, assign members, establish due dates and write notes all from the email window. Is there a way of achieving this in Monday? I saw that you can automatic specific emails to flow into the system but what if it’s just random emails? I didn’t see any really useful Chrome extensions in the Web store that might help with this.

Hi @Aaron1 ,

Yes ,It is very much possible. Infact you can specify the subject line which should be converted into item/pulse in monday.com.

Ok great! How do you do it?

Ok I think I found it here: https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005339645-Email-to-board

Thanks!

Email to board is a very manual, simplistic version of email integration.

@Aaron1 ,

Yes you can refer that article for a better understanding but to be more specific you can go to the integration center where you can find all the pre-built recipes.

Attaching a screen shot for the reference.

Hi @Aaron1 - everyone has posted some good content here. There are numerous approaches that can be taken to integrate email (gmail & Outlook). There are automations & integrations prebuilt as @aquibk mentioned.

Also check into the Emails & Activities app

It also comes with a robust set of integrations. We tend to use a combination of the app + built in Gmail/Outlook integrations to make things work in the best possible way (depending on your needs). Additionally Integromat can offer some additional functionality if you cannot make your desired process work as you’d like in native monday.

Thanks
Mark

Hi @Aaron1

There are a number of really great suggestions here!
I would take a look at all the options to see which one might be best for your particular workflow.

Given the information you’ve provided so far I’d be inclined to try using the Outlook or Gmail integration combined with automations, as @aquibk suggested.
Below are some extra articles on how to set these up that you may find useful:
Outlook Integration
Gmail Integration

I hope this helps! Remember to mark as solved if this answers your question
