We used to have a nice view of the emails and activities, item info, and updates all on one screen, but now it seems that we can’t shrink the emails and activities card to be less than half of the screen.
Has anyone else noticed this and is there a fix to this?
Width wise, I’ve not been able to ever have it go under ‘half’ the page. But height wise, I feel like there’s more room for adjustment. Have you always been on CRM? Or did you recently switch from WM?

@sam.golfvx You are not imagining it. monday rolled out a recent item view update and the Emails and Activities app now has a fixed minimum width which is why it takes up about half the screen.
At the moment there is no way to resize it back to the previous compact view. The only workarounds are switching between Updates and Emails instead of showing both or opening Emails and Activities in a separate item view tab when you need to focus on messages.
I would recommend submitting this as in app feedback since several teams are running into the same issue and layout changes like this often get revisited once enough users flag the impact.

Interesting… how recent was this? I replied to the other comment, but we always had those widgets as 1/3 1/3 1/3 and have tried everything to get it back that way!

They said they saw it happening in some accounts but not others, so we’ll see where that goes, but how do you submit app feedback?

Thanks for your reply! That’s interesting because we’ve always had it 1/3 1/3 1/3 on those 3 widgets. Yes, we’re CRM since the start but are looking to move some functions to WM.

Yeah, this change has caught a few teams out - the Emails & Activities panel sizing feels pretty locked down now and there’s no real toggle to get back to the old compact layout.
No native fix that I’m aware of yet. As a workaround, some teams I’ve seen move part of the email flow out of that panel entirely. For example, Email to Tasks for monday.com lets you log selected emails as updates or items instead, so you’re not forced to live inside the Emails & Activities card all day
Not ideal, but it does reduce the screen real estate problem until monday gives us more layout control again.
Mariia, appreciate the reply and yes! We’ve tried everything here and finally reverted back to a 50/50 split emails & activities and item cards.
We’re pretty reliant on using the emails and activities section for all kinds of activities so there no way we could use a different widget. Yes, hoping they give have a fix for this!
