About 3 days ago, a new update to monday changed how Item Cards are displayed. In our account, I remember we had something activated on Monday Labs, to keep the item card showing as a pop-up on the center of the screen. That pop-up had the item columns displayed on the left side, and the card updates displayed on the right side.
This made it very easy to change status and other informatations about the card, as well as comment on the card to let other members know other important things.
With the new update, the item card opens on a sliding window, on the right side of the screen, and you can no longer see both the item columns and card updates at the same time.
This wastes a lot of time, as we need to keep constantly changing views on the item card, as well as it makes it easyer for members to forget to updated important informations.
Please make an option in monday labs or at the settings, to change how item cards can be viewed.
Another option would be to add a widget on the item card, to shows the updates of the card. (image attached as reference below)
My Team has also experienced the same changes you have. Have you used the Give Feedback feature on the Updates view to provide your feedback to Monday.com? That is one way to communicate with the folks at Monday.com.
Alternatively, I have asked my Team to provide a list of items they need to see in a vertical format to customize one or more columns using the item card widget based on user needs.
Like you, this does not solve the issue of having updates and a vertical list together in the same view, but we are trying to make the new configuration work as best as possible.
Good Luck. Hopefully, a workaround will be offered soon.
This indeed has turned back to the way it was, and we can see the ‘item pop-up card’ again, together with the updates.
One feature that would be interesting though would be the ability to hide some of the info that is shown in the ‘card’ view on the left. At the moment, all the item columns are shown, but for the ‘end-user’ (not aware of hidden/operational columns used for automations) the ability to hide them would be very interesting!
