Employee Accountability Tracking

I need help figuring out a way to monitor my employees’ activity in CRM. We contacts and accounts that are assigned to specific employees and expect that they send emails, make calls, make onsite visits, etc.

It was previously recommended that I have them add the email/note/call in the Emails & Activities on the contact or account, then use the Activities board to view that activity. BUT Activities only logs Meetings, Calls, & Follow up. It does NOT log Notes or Emails.

I know I can add a custom activity for Notes & then somehow try to enforce everyone use that one and not the original Notes button. But what about emails?

There’s got to be a better way to track ALL activity in one place. Any suggestions?

We have this same issue. As a workaround - I created an automation increases a number column by ‘1’ each time an email is sent to the email column. Then I create a new column each month and adjust a few of the automations (it takes less than 10 minutes once a month). It’s not great, but it gets the job done.

There are now additional smart features on the time tracking clock using Smart Timer and Team Tracking app which has the same look and feel as the native monday.com timer. You can create tasks for each activity, get them to log their time and then view live what they are currently working on.

We had the same pain point with our service based business, there was so much the native time couldn’t do that we needed, so we got our dev to build a solution which we have now released to the monday.com marketplace.

The ability for the team to see LIVE who is recording time on what, this helps us to manage our remote team and re-delegate work as needed.

We have only recently launched so if there are any tweaks that would help it better suit your business feel free to add to the live chat and we will see if we can roll it out in the next update

Hey there Jane. Our app, the Ultimate Team Productivity Tracker allows you to monitor activity of users with the board activity logs from multiple boards in one place. If you tied the creation of emails/activities in the CRM to an action like a status change, you could use our app for activity tracking/monitoring. Let me know if I can help in any way.
