Exporting board details to a report from multiple groups?

Good morning Monday community,

One of my services is called a blind share search, we find missing shares, dividends, and unclaimed monies in Australian estates.

We make multiple calls and searches from different workflows to find these assets and while we are doing this we are filling anything found into a Monday board and also marking off the progress of what has been searched and what hasn’t.

My question is on the delivery of this workflow, previously when this was done as a spreadsheet I would simply copy and paste the tables into an email to send off.

Since Monday I follow a similar approach, an email template and then I screen shot and Paste in a picture of the two groups on the board used in the search, I have a specific view for each so I can select the view >screenshot the group and then paste into the email.

It is a little slow and I dont love that it is an image. also when we find a lot of items, they don’t fit into one screenshot, so I have to do multiple and paste them on top of each other in the email.

Does anyone have a workaround or solution for this? Would you share the board link itself to the client? or is there a way to export the groups in a pretty manner to a PDF or email?

Hugely appreciate any help

Hello Jon,

As I see, your case can be achieved with board snapshots in Excel. I recently wrote a :backhand_index_pointing_right: post on this topic. I hope you will find an answer there.

What about using a monday doc and a widget that pulls in the items you’re filtered for?

There are much better alternatives to screen-shotting your Monday com board for clients. The most effective method is to use Monday com’s “Shareable Link” feature to provide a secure, read-only link that gives clients a live view of the data. Alternatively, you can use the board’s “Doc” view to create and export a professional, formatted PDF report, or look into dedicated apps from the marketplace for more automated solutions.

Thank you Charles. I really appreciate the reply. I’m really liking the idea of the doc, I’m going to explore this, thank you.
