Formula column is not recognized as a number or date so cannot be used in other features (Conditional coloring or Automations)

I created a formula calculating number of days between two dates using the formula DAYS.
Then I tried creating an automated coloring with it but it didn’t recognize it as a number so I couldn’t color it red when it was below a specific number.
I also tried create an automation but as it’s not a number I couldn’t, there’s no automations for formula columns

I don’t have an immediate solution but I made this feature request which would solve your problem, if you want to vote for it.

Hoping somebody else with have a workaround for you,
