Please help, I’m seriously stuck. I’ve setup a “hard deadline” date column and would like to prevent our team from being able to set their “due date” past this hard deadline date.
I’ve tried setting up an automation in zapier but no luck. Does anyone know a way to set this up?
I don’t know of a specific way to do that, but you could set up automations to trigger notifications when they set a due date that is past the hard deadline. The notifications could go to multiple people to review. After a few reminders, I’d bet they’d get better at looking at the hard deadline

The idea is to create a validation rule using a formula column or automation that automatically corrects or prevents incorrect date entries. Here’s a practical approach:
Set up an automation like *"When Due Date changes, if Due Date is after Hard Deadline, change Due Date to Hard Deadline.\
Make.com or Zapier Monitor updates on the Due Date column. If it exceeds the Hard Deadline, trigger an action that corrects it back or notifies the user.
Use Monday.com’s item permissions or create a status-based workflow that prevents users from modifying dates once they pass validation.
