Frustrating update - "location" column now requires state and country

As of today, the “location” column no longer allows you to remove the state and country. I am in mortgage, and I include the location in automated email updates to clients and third parties. When the email says “… regarding 123 Main Street, Los Angeles, California, USA” it makes the whole thing look awkward and funky.

Dev team, please allow us to edit locations to remove the state and country, or at least create a column setting where we can toggle state and country on or off.

Add a text column and use the AI feature. Tell it “Pull the address from the location column Location and only include what is before the first comma”

Hi @dmccarthy22710! That’s a brilliant solution. My only problem is I have four boards with 400 automations/integrations each, and almost all of them use the location tag. So while it is possible, I’d need to update over 1000 automations to make this work. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Hmmm… That definitely makes it tougher! Are all the automations pulling the address for the correspondence to the customer? Or could you just change some?

Or maybe use this time to start using the new workflows instead of automations?
