Gantt chart is unusable due to the horizontal scroll which includes unwanted years

I have the same issue too - the horizontal scroll is so sensitive, it’s useless, a tiny movement frequently sends you to the year 3000+ Could the width not auto scale to the length of the project plus 10% or similar?

Another vote to address this issue ASAP. It’s amazing to me that this issue has persisted for years.

While I disagree the Gantt chart is “unusable” due to this issue, I would very much like to see it fixed, say a configuration setting allowing you to constrain Gantt chart timeline to the start/end dates of your choosing. As implemented (forever), it’s really annoying.
