I could see my shared drives. Right now it only shows that which is in my drive. I believe this is a relatively small change in the Drive Picker SDK (our software company had to make the change a few years ago when Google rolled out the feature).
Context: My company is growing and we upgrade our Google Workspace to add shared drives. A number of files stopped linking properly in my Monday board.
Again, minor. We freaking love Monday (helps us track the million items schools need help with).
Bump - huge missing feature. Linking to files on Google Shared Drives is far too many button presses to expect adherence and the result is duplication of files on Monday.com that are already in Google Shared Drives.
This is a serious limitation when planning a transition to Monday.
With an already extensive use of Shared Drives, by not having a way to link tasks to existing and new documents it’s a considerable annoyance that forces to rely on the shared link of GDrive.
It would be great if the Google Drive picker in Monday could show shared drives, not just “My Drive.” This small change would make it easier to attach files from shared drives, especially for companies with upgraded Google Workspace plans. The update can be made in the Drive Picker SDK and would significantly improve collaboration. We love using Monday for managing our school projects—thanks for considering this!
