How can I change a dropdown or a text colum based on a specific person being assigned?

Some of my colleagues work in specific segments and I want to create an automation to change a dropdown or a text column each time one of them gets assigned. How can I do that?

How do I turn on the AI? I don’t see that option. Please let me know.

You can set up an automation in Monday by using the “When person is assigned, change column value” option. Go to Automations > Create Custom Automation and set the trigger as “When [Person] is assigned” and the action as “Change [Dropdown/Text] column to [Value].”

AI is in your Admin settings, it’s super easy once you get it turned on :slight_smile:
