If something is in my inbox because of a tag, there should not be a second notification under “Bell” notification that I have to separately mark as read. It causes congestion in my notifications and can cause me to miss actual conversation notifications.
I have been feeling this as well lately. Really it only needs to create the notification in one place, either in the inbox or the notifications… or it could be that the two parts are merged since there is the overlap in functionality.
I don’t necessarily mind that there is the redundancy/double up at the moment… but I feel that the more I deal with it, the more annoyed I’ll become. And if wanting to keep them separate, it would be preferable to have a setting that would allow me to disable having that double-up occur, so that inbox items didn’t create notifications.
