It seems users are adding tasks but forgetting to assign them to themselves or others to the task. There is an automation that will automatically assign new tasks to a specific person but there isn’t an option to auto-assign based on the “creator of the task”.

We’ve seen this request before so I might merge this with another topic.
My workaround for now would be to add a creation log column and you can call it “whose task” so if they forget to assign, you can at least see it from this column?

We recognized the same need.
Many tasks are left orphaned until finally being noticed.

This is great, but am I right in understanding that this doesn’t affect the subitems?

I want an automation like: “When Status changed to to Approved, assign changer as Approved by”, is it possible?
It would be better having one of the persons options to be “person that triggered” so it be more flexible.
