Link item from connected board to new item from Zapier trigger

Hi there!!

I’m pulling clients over to Monday.com from an application on Zapier. In the application, the clients have contacts connected to them and this information is sent to Zapier on the trigger. Sometimes multiple clients will have the same contacts, so ideally when the clients are pulled into Monday I could link them to the contacts in a connected board.

I’m having trouble parsing how I could do this. There are four different types of contacts that could be associated with the clients (sometimes they’ll have two contacts, sometimes four), so searching for an item by column value for each contact type could get tricky/complicated.

The application is invite only but if you have any questions about it that might help you answer let me know. Happy to hear any solutions, willing to create a spreadsheet or anything you think might be helpful.

Hi @hart, if i’m understanding your ask correctly, you need to automatically connect contacts to their relevant clients.

I’d recommend checking out the video I made for this HERE. While I know it says import from excel, it sounds like you’re open to that idea but the concept of matching itself should help you here which I walk through an example of in the video.
