Logging only one-off emails as activities on CRM

Hi all -

Is there a way to only log one-off emails as activities instead of integrating with Outlook and logging all inbound emails and bcc replied? We don’t want to log all inbound emails which will clutter our activities section with every email. I also do not want to use the “write update via email” feature since this would require me to find that custom email each time I want to log a specific email. Since we already have emails in the email column, I should be able to specify the contact via that column.
