Looking to speak to someone about a workflow that may or may not exist. Essentially I need to have a board that has a master list of projects. I then want to be able to use that master list in multipleother boards. But it needs ot be the index column of that board.
So board 1 has index items: A B, C…
I want board 2 to be able to have A,B,C as index items. When I add D to board 1 it adds it to board 2. If i dlete it from 1 it deletes from 2. If I rename A to Z it renames on board 2. Etc…
Willing to bend a little if there is another workflow…
Willing to use an add in/app if it works for our solution.
Willing to pay for your time. Please reply with your experience and suggestions on how to accomplish (feel free to hold back on the EXACT solution so we can determine a rate.)
Hi @seandotson - there are a few ways to tackle this workflow however it will absolutely need some help via 3rd party software (we would utilize make.com for this) to manage things like keeping item names in sync, etc. I think a combination of standard connected board/mirroring functionality along with make.com helping in the background should give you exactly what you are looking for.

Hey Sean, overall this is definitely possible on monday, depending on the scale and depth of the data, it may make more sense to employ some API with Make or something of the sorts to ensure cross board syncing across everything.
I’ll tell you, in our own internal PM system I have a board that stores 20+ project templates as items across 5 groups, tagged with different drop down options. In my master board, I can generate a project with a drop down and status change, it creates all of the items (with column data) in our project breakdown board in proper groups and linked back to the project overview, and gives me a link to jump to a filtered view of that board. This is all automated using API, and runs with 100% accuracy.
