I am have a bunch of recurring tasks that use various variations of the push function in automations.
I would like the ability to mark certain dates as vacations so that when I push a date forward X amount of workdays, the vacation dates are NOT counted.
As of now, monday.com does not offer a built-in feature to exclude custom vacation dates when using the “push” function in automations. While you can configure the system to skip weekends by adjusting the timeline settings in the admin section, this does not extend to custom holidays or vacation days.
To achieve the functionality you’re seeking, you might consider using third-party applications like the “Date Check” app. This app allows you to define custom holidays and ensures that when dates are pushed forward, these specified non-working days are excluded. It offers features such as built-in holiday checkers for various countries, the ability to set durations that exclude holidays, and automatic updates to dates and timelines based on these settings.
Alternatively, you can explore using the WORKDAY or NETWORKDAYS functions within monday.com’s formula column to calculate dates that exclude weekends and specified holidays. However, it’s important to note that while these formulas can compute the desired dates, the results cannot currently be utilized in automations, which may limit their applicability in your workflow.
Given these limitations, integrating a third-party app like “Date Check” might be the most effective solution to handle recurring tasks that need to account for custom vacation dates
