Merge Multiple "Person" Columns

Description

Hello,

I’m trying to find a solution to merge multiple “Person” columns into a single “Person” column. My team has been logging time for several months, and we previously created a new “Person” column for each individual. Now that the platform supports assigning multiple people to a single item in a “Person” column, I would like to consolidate all of our previous “Person” columns into one. I have 5 columns in total that need to be merged.

I have already tried a few potential solutions but I am unable to find a way to do this automatically.

Attempted Solutions:

Manual Merging: I was advised that this would need to be done manually, which is what I am trying to avoid.

“Autofill with AI” option: I tried using the “autofill with AI” option, but I was unable to select more than one column at a time.

Formula Column: I also tried using a formula column to output all the person’s names into one column, but I don’t know what to do with the formula column outputs.

What are you trying to achieve

I’m trying to find a solution to merge multiple “Person” columns into a single “Person” column.
I am hoping someone in the community might have a workaround or a solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Diane,

This may be a task that Sidekick can help you with

You should be able to request beta access here - https://monday.com/w/ai

And you can see more details on it below.

I hope that helps?
