Multi Line Item Quote

We’re trying to create quotes within Monday that include several (sometimes 100+) line items. An example quote may have 5 products, with each item have dozens of specific components. Subset of an example file attached.

We’d like to upload this excel data directly to Monday CRM and generate a customer facing quote. The Monday.com UI seems limited to adding a single line item at a time which isn’t realistic given how many each of our quotes have.

Anyone doing anything similar or have recommendations on how to add several line items at once?

Check out an app called Docugen. That’s what I use for our customer facing quotes.

There are no limits to the # of line items that can be added to a single quote. I think there’s no easy answer for your request. Usually we would recommend using the line item for the quote/client information and subitems for the products like in this example:

Unfortunately, subitems are limited to 100 and therefore, you could create a board per quote.

Our app DocExport PDF Generator also supports loading data from other boards which could be useful, if each of your products always have the same components. Otherwise it would be very manual.

If hope this gives you already a few ideas on how you could structure your boards.

You’re right — monday.com’s UI isn’t ideal for creating quotes with 100+ line items manually.

  1. Import Line Items in Bulk
  • Upload your Excel file to a dedicated Line Items board
  • Use Connect Boards + Mirror Columns to link them to your main Quotes board
  • Or automate via Monday API, Make, or Zapier

  • Pulls all linked line items into a professional PDF
