Can the board discussion send notifications/ emails to board subscribers for new updates added like the other item updates? This would be really helpful to send updates to a team that are not item specific but relate to an overall project or multiple projects tracked on a board.

I’m wondering if the Board Discussions has a widget similar to the Board Updates so we can showcase board discussion alongside another widget?
If not, can this be a new feature request?

That’s a great feature and way ahead to connect with customers collaboratively. Excited to see this in action.
With the introduction of Board Discussions, it now appears impossible to maintain private communication with multiple clients on a single board when creating separate boards for each client is not an option. Item-level permissions are no longer sufficient, as there is a significant risk that a client could use the Board Discussions feature and inadvertently share messages visible to all other clients.
Is there a way to keep the Updates feature enabled while disabling Board Discussions in such cases?
