In the section of editing permissions when we select the permission
Only edit items or subitems that users are assigned to the non board owners cant create new items
It will be great if they had the ability to create also new items but to edit only the items that are assigned
I’m a little surprised that there isn’t a higher demand for this one. We surely should be able to allow people to view and create items, but then only be able to edit the ones assigned to them in a People column.
+1. We have the ability to limit viewing items to just owners, however we want our team to view everything but only be able to edit what they own while still being able to create new items (and be assigned items when created).
I think what you want can be accomplished! They’ve made a permission called Assigned Contributor that only allows a person to edit an item if they exist in a people column.
If you want them to be able to create an item: create a form and then they’ll be able to create an item via the form.
