Outlook calendar integration

Hi, can anyone tell me if the outlook calendar integration works with subitems?

This is the integration automation that one an owner as been assigned creates an event in the calendar and synchs future changes.

Thanks in advance

Hey Richard!

The subitems aren’t supported yet in those integration recipes but we’re working on developing more supported fields!

If you can describe a little more of the workflow you’re trying to achieve, maybe we can find a workaround! Let me know

Hi Charlotte

Any news on this topic? Are the monday.com developers working on it?

We would also highly appreciate the possibility of outlook calendar integration of sub items as Richard described.

Thanks for your feedback & best regards
Christina

Since the Outlook calendar synchronization on the sub-item level doesn’t work and I didn’t get an update here, I have created a feature request:

Please vote for it if you are also interested in the development of this functionality.

Hey Richard ,

Integration between Monday.com and Outlook Calendar, we will develop a solution that ensures seamless synchronization of tasks, including subitems, to the calendar. We’ll create an automation that assigns an owner to a subitem, triggers the creation of a calendar event, and synchronizes any future changes automatically. This approach will keep your tasks and calendar in perfect sync, saving time and preventing any manual update errors.

  • Utilizing Monday.com’s API to fetch and update task details.
  • Integrating with Outlook’s calendar API to manage events.
  • Setting up webhook triggers to handle real-time updates.

Hey @Christina_K

We developed an app called Outlook Calendar Integration Plus that provides a robust Outlook calendar and monday.com integration which also supports syncing with subitems.

Here’s an example - In the “person column”, you just need to select a person column from the subitems. When the subitem will be assigned, the event will be created.

Here are the key differences from monday’s native solution -

  1. Allows to select which calendar to use (not just the primary default)

  2. Supports subitems

  3. Much more flexible triggers - “no more sync every item”

  4. Allows full mapping - updates, invitees and more

  5. Allows to control the start & end date and time.

You can find it in the monday.com marketplace in the platform or here - https://monday.com/marketplace/listing/10000518/outlook-calendar-integration-plus

Hope that helps!
