Recommendations for Using monday.com Effectively on a Windows Laptop

Hi everyone :waving_hand:,

I’ve been using monday.com as my main workspace for project management and collaboration, and I usually access everything on a Windows laptop. The portability and flexibility have made it easy to stay connected with my team whether I’m at home, traveling, or working in different office setups.

I’d love to hear from the community about how you optimize your experience on monday.com when working from a Windows laptop. For example:

  • Do you find certain specs (RAM, processor, display) especially useful when handling large boards and dashboards?

  • Are there preferred browser setups or desktop app practices that improve speed and workflow?

  • Any recommendations for accessories or setups that enhance productivity while using monday.com on the go?

I’m curious to learn what’s worked best for others, so I can make the most of my setup.

Thanks in advance for sharing your tips!

Hi there! Great question—and awesome to hear how Monday.com is working well for your setup!

Here are a few tips that might help optimize your experience on a Windows laptop:

:laptop: Laptop Specs

  • RAM: At least 16GB is ideal if you’re working with large boards and dashboards. It helps keep things smooth, especially when multitasking.

  • Display: A Full HD (1920x1080) screen is the minimum sweet spot. If you’re working with timelines or dashboards, a larger screen or external monitor can really help with visibility.

:globe_with_meridians: Browser Setup

  • Google Chrome I personally find tends to perform best with Monday.com.

  • Keep your browser updated, and consider using incognito mode or disabling extensions if you notice lag.

:desktop_computer: Desktop App Tips

  • The desktop app is great for staying focused, but it mirrors the browser experience. I don’t like how small some sections are. If you’re noticing slowness, try switching between the two to see which performs better for your workflow.

:luggage: On-the-Go Accessories

  • Wireless mouse and keyboard: Boosts comfort and speed. I cant use Monday very well using the laptop scroll pad!

Would love to hear what others are using too—especially if anyone has clever mobile setups or browser tweaks!
