Setting 'to' email on automation

Hi guys,

I am trying to set up an automation based on a status change to send a notification to a specific email address of a non-monday user.

Status change to ‘xxx’ - send an email using ‘pulse box 1’ ‘pulse box 2’ to ‘example@gmail.com’

The email address is not connected to any specific item or board as it is just an external contractor. Alternatively, I could have an automation of - when status changes to ‘xxx’ populate contractor email with ‘example@gmail.com’ and send email to ‘contractor email’

I cannot find either of these methods in the automations or integrations so any help would be appreciated!
