I am currently struggling with managing various automations/integrations at the subitem level. i think this seems to generally be an area of limitation for the platform. In particular, when creating a custom automation that involves something like a subitem status change, the action or then condition can be a Monday action, but I would like this to be an app action. This is supported at the item level, but when trying to select the app action Monday.com states “subitems are not yet supported in apps automations”.
is there a suitable workaround without having to use multiple trigger columns?
is there an expected timeframe to enable this use case?
Us app devs are right there with you, we’d love if monday would enhance the custom automation builder to support apps for subitems, and allow us to even have actions that change a status for example. It is so limited for apps.
Agreed - we utilize subitems at a large level for creative requests and would love to be able to integrate our Sharepoint Embed with subitems so we can add images into our Sharepoint. Kind of pointless to have to do it all by hand.
