Any update on this feature? My company has been a customer since 2019 and I have made at least three separate inquiries to Monday.com support regarding this key functionality.
Do the above replies saying you are prioritizing other features mean that we will just need to look elsewhere if we desire this functionality? This is such a key component. I cannot fathom why this has not been addressed.
Overall, I like the platform.
Monday is fantastic in so many ways of course!
But not being able to have 2 people enter overlapping times into a time tracker column is really negatively impacting us. Itās hard enough to track time when youāre juggling many different things across multiple boards. But to get an error and then have to shift your time block earlier or later to try to avoid someone elseās time is just too much to ask of people ā and makes the extra time required by the interface to enter actual start/end times meaningless and really wasteful of course.
The workaround of making multiple time tracking columns and using permissions or views to hide them is very fragile and eliminates a lot of the beautiful simplicity that makes Monday great.
The reason the apps donāt solve the problem is that they turn time tracking into a full old school time-sheet experience. One of the things that drew us to Monday is that everything could be easily entered right there directly on an item or sub.
Please please consider changing this soon. Thank you.
I was wondering if you ever found a solution to your problem? One of the Monday app developers has a solution for rolling up multiple boards: 20|Rollup Multiple Boards - Excellent Team Itās a one time fee to use.
Itās already two and a half years after your post saying āWe know this is missing and itās something which is on our roadmap.ā Surely we must be very close to āfurther down the lineā so that your users can expect something very soon. Having to use third party apps or multiple time tracking columns for each user working on an item is just a pain. We want to use only Monday as much as possible and get rid of all the other ad hoc programs which also cost (a constantly increasing) price every monthā¦ The time tracking and formula columns was what made us go for the āProā versionā¦
Yes, still waiting for this feature as wellā¦
Does anyone know if this has been resolved?
@CSG @CXS @monday-team I wanted to open this again (give it a bump) as this is something which is also fundamental to us - to all agencies. Please can this bumped up the list on the roadmap as many of the other features you have been releasing could have waited. They are not as critical as this IMO.
Could we please have an update on when we can expect this to be sorted?
Thank you.
@Julia-monday.com Hi! i @ you to bring this topic on front to discuss it with the Monday team. Its a long requested feature, and i feel that there is no app that replaces this column, i think we all in this forum need timetracking column 2.0 with the known issues fixedā¦
Solving this will ease our daily work to track our peopleĀ“s times.
Thanks !
Have we had any movement on this @Julia-monday.com?
Thank you.
Obviously there has been no change made to time tracking in Monday.com. Iām out of here.
Welcome Tony, bye Tony
Yeah, we had to leave.
+1 feature request to allowing multiple people to track time simultaneously against a single task within a single time tracking column. Having multiple time tracking columns for different people is also not an option for us since we could have lots of people working on any given project.
Hi @elenakelareva,
Our app Tracket allows multiple people to track time simultaneously. We are currently developing a timer to automatically track time on existing items and subitems. Check it in the marketplace: https://monday.com/marketplace/10000017
Thanks, @EBeer! Will check it out.
Hi community, thank you for the thoughtful feedback. Weāve discussed your request with the development team and they understand why improvements on time tracking column is important for many of our customers. As of now, this feature is not in our upcoming roadmap.
Weāre currently focused on improving other key areas of our platform to bring the most impact to the most people.Every quarter, we need to make difficult decisions about how we prioritize building new features, improving old ones, and ensuring overall platform quality.
Although we are unable to prioritize this feature at the moment, we are currently working with external apps to provide a better time-tracking solution and will keep you updated with any changes.
Requests like yours help guide us in prioritizing features that our customers care about most, so keep the ideas and votes coming because your feedback makes a difference.

Hi @Julietteb This is shame. I fear that this will push many people away from monday.com as we have to look elsewhere to incorporate this functionality. Yes there are external platforms which could integrate but the premise and the key piece for most people is that they want to keep it all in one-place.
this appears to be your biggest downfall on the platform. Itās the biggest issue users face. Why not focus on this particular area first and then look to optimise your platform further with the other features?
That would add the valueā¦
