VOIP Phone - Text Messages - Phone Call Logs

Would anyone in this Awesome community be able to share any feedback about “connecting” VOIP" phone systems to Monday.com

We are looking to track the “amount” of “contacts” with all of our clients. Emails, we can track but we have some who like to text the office phone and we are not capturing that activity. Any thoughts of experience someone can share?

Hi @JWILZCPA ,

Totally makes sense, email is easy to track but SMS and calls are where activity usually disappears unless you connect the right tool.

Out of the box options:
If you want something you can set up without building anything, I’d look at VOIP platforms that already play nicely with Monday and can push call logs and SMS activity into a board. Tools like CloudTalk, KrispCall (and a few similar ones) are commonly used for this, mostly because they can capture the interaction and then send it to Monday in a structured way.

How to shortlist quickly:
Step 1: Decide what you want to count as a “contact” in Monday, one row per client with an activity counter, or one item per interaction, or just an Update log per client.
Step 2: Check if the tool supports SMS in your country and whether it can log both texts and calls, not just calls.
Step 3: Make sure you can map the activity into Monday the way you need, for example create an Update, change a status, increment a counter, or fill a date field.
Step 4: Run a small real test for a week with a handful of clients, because the logging format matters more than the feature list.

More custom route:
If you have someone technical, you can also do this via API using Twilio and then push everything into Monday exactly how you want, but it’s a different level of effort.

Hope that helps, once you pick the tracking format you want in Monday, the “right” phone tool becomes much easier to choose.
