When a Team is assigned to a board, workspace or a People column needs to translate to permissions applicable for the board or workspace.
I have many teams associated with a particular workflow and I want only the people in each team assigned to see items the team has been assigned to. I do not want to have to assign individuals every time.
The reason, is the maintenance to update a teams members is so much quicker and efficient than remembering every since board and automation you have an individual assigned to be auto assigned to items, and then finding and updating those. Instead, updating them once at the team level would update their access on the workspace and board levels throughout the entire platform.
