Upon a Status change I have an automation that moves the item to a different board (board 2). In board 2 I have an automation, when an item is moved this this board then change status. But the status is assigned the default value rather then the status label defined in the automation. Seems the change the status action is not triggered by the item moved event.
Hey Kelly!
Charlotte here for the monday team! Happy to help out with this!
Yes, sometimes the default value (since it works like an automation) will conflict with your automation recipe.
Is there a way you can add an extra step or trigger in your automation recipe that will force it to act after your default value “automation”?
Or would you consider removing the default value settings and setting up automation recipes instead? This could help you set different conditions for the data each item should have so that it doesn’t conflict with the other automation recipe you are running.
If this doesn’t quite answer what you’re looking for, feel free to send our support team a message here.
If you do write to us, please include a screen recording of the automation and item default value behaviors in action so we can confirm what is causing the issue and suggest a helpful solution. You can use loom.com to record for free.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
