Zapier and the New API

Hey team! Dipro here from monday.com.

First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of communication on our side about our Zapier connector.

We have been working on rewriting the monday.com module in Zapier. If you want early access to this module, feel free to DM me your email address. You can also write to support@monday.com with this request.

As of right now, our Zapier integration is in the final stages of testing and development. We do need to submit it for approval in the Zapier marketplace, but I wanted to let you know that we’re working on it and almost at the finish line.

I can’t give a clear ETA on when it will be available because the approval process can take a few weeks, but I wanted to give you all an update that we’re on it and hopefully you’ll be able to access it soon!

which is the status of the zapier integration? I need it badly

@turboroof – the Zapier integration is still in review with the Zapier team. If you’re interested in using the beta version, please shoot us an email at support@monday.com and we’ll get you set up!

thanks, i’ll try that

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give you some good news – the Zapier integration has been approved by the team and should be available in all your accounts! Look for the “monday.com” module and you’ll see the new triggers/actions.

We’re working on a guide to walk you through using the new integration, and will release it sometime next week! I’ll circle back with a link when it’s ready.

@dipro One useful part of integromat currently is I can do a ‘search items in a board by column values’. So when a webform is completed on our website (Name & Email), we check if they already have an item in the board (with that Email) and if not> create new item, if so > Update existing item. Is it on the roadmap to add Search/ Find functionality like this in Zapier too? I can only see create type actions at the moment.

In order to ‘update item multiple column values’ I need to pull in the Item ID. How do I get that if I only have the persons name an email from the webform they submitted? Without a search/ find option I can’t work out how I would match up the email address to an Item ID?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Jack! We do have some search actions on the roadmap, but we need to figure out some stuff on our side before we can implement this. We decided to release this version of the Zapier app instead of holding up the release for this additional functionality.

I’ll add your vote for this feature so the product team is aware!

Hey @dipro I have a suggestion for you as you work on the API.

Our use case is getting a great integration between all the apps where we store client data. Right now that’s Mailchimp, Monday.com and Google Contacts. If these could all have the same client data at the same point in time that would be amazing for our business.

It looks like there is no Monday.com trigger in Zapier that will enable me to update the data in Google Contacts and Mailchimp whenever an item changes in Monday.com.

Could you add a trigger so that whenever any column in Monday.com is changed, the associated columns in Mailchimp/Google Contacts (or whatever other app people use) also changes?

Hey @TheOtherPM – sounds to me like you’re looking for a way to grab a column value from a monday.com board and send that to another tool.

If that’s indeed the use case, then you’ll be happy to know it’s the next step for our Zapier integration  I don’t have a specific ETA because it’s still early, but we’re investigating how to build this on the Zapier developer platform right now.

Hey @dipro just wondering if we’re any closer to a search function in zapier yet? Thanks

We now have a search function that will return the column values for a specific item. Here it is:

By the way, I’m going to close this thread. If you have additional questions about Zapier, please open a new topic about it.
