Zapier - Zap - New Item - Set DATE column automatically

I am using a Zapier Zap to send an online form to monday.com. However, when the item is created the date column is not set automatically, which is odd. So I am trying to figure out how to pass the current date via JSON from Zap into monday.com?

I tried submitting a hidden date field in the form and formatting it to YYYY-MM-DD, but that did not work.

You would think that monday.com would automatically set a date for a new item - makes sense, no?

Depending on your specific needs, you could use the automation recipe: “When item is created, set due date to creation date plus some days”

or

Add a Creation Log type column. Once this column is added, you can go into column settings and set it to show only the date.
