This would be amazing. We have a very strong visual identity and this feature would address some of our needs.
Our team has a need for this feature as well. As many others have stated we have many statuses that are equivalent to done and having them all one shade of green would help clean up the look of the board a lot. Too many colors and shades of colors can make the board quite overwhelming to look at.
I got here looking for the same feature. I have multiple status on the Table view but I would like to merge some of those colors together so that the Gantt chart is not so overwhelming.
This is completely INSANE that something so simple as having an option of NO COLOR or SAME COLOR isnāt an option for something we pay $$$$$ tons of money for.
This would be brilliant. You could use a color for statusses that belong to one department or a certain category of actions for example. Would make boards look sooooo much cleaner.
Totally agree ā AND ALSO, allow restriction on the number of choices in a Dropdown column, the same way we can with People column. If we could restrict Dropdown selections to one selection we wouldnāt need to use so many Status columns, and then boards wouldnāt end up looking like such a circus.
I think that the option to color the TEXT in a status rather than the cell background would be a welcome relief for the eyes, too.
Absolutely insane that it doesnāt allow you to use the same color, it literally takes more coding to stop you from using the same color than it would to allow it. This would take like 5 minutes for them to patch as a toggle and yet itās been years and nothing has changed.
I WANT same color be used for different statuses within the same status column ā¦!!!
PLEASEā¦ SOONā¦!!!
This features is a must, please add this to your development.
Yes! This would be super helpful to use the same color more than once in a status column.
Same colour over multiple status would really be useful.
Dear Monday.com, We want to be able to use same colors for different statuses within the same āstatusā Columnā¦
Is this really that hard to do? REALLY? REALLY?
Please!!!
Since status is our only option for a single select column, a single-color option is fundamental.
Yesā¦PLEASE allow this, its been like 4 years. Such a simple feature to allow for. I noticed Monday also actually REMOVED colors from the filters section, like WHY? Users should have control over what colors are used on their own boards, like all other PM tools have.
This feature was requested in 2020, and no one bothered to remove a simple restriction?! Iāve been using Monday for several years now, but these small, annoying things make me want to run away.
Agree - this would be very helpful!
I would find this very helpful too! In one of our boards we have a few different types of review: internal, external and client. While these all have different requirements and actions associated with them, it would be helpful if they were all the same colour instead of 3 different shades of pink
I also need this. I often want to use a standard color for most values and then just one or two accent colors to indicate a special status within a column. Itās hard to make those special statuses pop and draw the eye to them quickly when every status must be a different color.
Can someone from the Monday team please give an update on where this falls? Itās four years old and still very much so needed.
Please liberate this soon.
It is extra helpfull to organise and help teams to understand which status are attached to each team. Or when Status correspond to specifique fases.
example:
fase 1 (status a, b, c) , fase 2 (status d, e, f), fase 3 (status g, h, i)ā¦
Still not getting a way to visually identify the status that are commun to more than 1 team/Fase. Example:
